Day 365

Inspiration. Cannot live without it.

I am constantly inspired by the books I read, the movies I watch, the music I listen to, the art I see and the people surrounding me.

Thank all of you for sticking with me through this wonderful journey as I photographed my life for an entire year. It has been great and I enjoyed it.

Here's inspiration,

Day 362

Today, I went downtown with my friend Dayna, who is also a photographer. I enjoy going on photo adventures with her, we always have a great time. She is awesome and such a positive person to be around. Definitely one of those people who can brighten up any somber day.

Having positive people in my life is super important. Makes for a positive life.

Day 361

I took this photograph today while I was in my Anatomy and Physiology lab. Sometimes, I bring in my camera to photograph the anatomy structures like in Day 293 when we were studying neuroanatomy.

Renee is fantastic, as she really helped me photograph the structures. THANK YOU RENEE!! You are the best! It really made my job easier. I always have a fun time in my anatomy class. Renee and I are in a study group of four of us and we make class enjoyable. Without them, I think I would not be doing as well in this class as I am. I am truly lucky to be surrounded constantly by wonderful and inspiring people. I know I always say that, but it is true.

I am thankful for everyone in my life,

Day 359

I only have a few days left of my photo project. I am debating whether or not I want to start another project. I am always open to suggestions.

Day 352

I love having friends around the world. Seeing the different stamps and foreign postal stickers on letters and packages brightens my day.

With all of the technology surrounding me on a daily basis, I adore the simplicity of the Postal Service. Even as a kid, I have always been a fan of writing letters, sending postcards and seeing the Postman each day. Growing up, the Postman lived down the street from me. He was such a nice guy and we talked often. It must be interesting to be a postal worker, but even more so, when you deliver your neighbor's mail.

I think I will always prefer writing letters, mailing birthday cards and postcards instead of e-mail. Anyone can write an e-mail, but the friend that takes the time to write a letter/postcard and send it, is a keeper.

Day 350

Today, my little sisters and I went to the Holocaust Memorial Center. We were lucky enough to see an authentic box car, as seen above, and we were fortunate to hear a holocaust survivor speak; it was truly inspiring.

Hearing stories of people who overcome hardships and adversity is motivating. It makes me believe that I can achieve my goal and dreams.

And I know you can too.

Day 336

Peace. Love. Hockey.

Great words of wisdom.

Today, I was fortunate enough to meet one of the ladies in charge of Ice. A hockey magazine and clothing company tailored specifically for women. I have always been a major fan of "girl power." I believe it started when I was eight years-old and was in a Spice Girls phase (though they still rock!).

Being a female hockey player, companies think that all we want to wear is pink and baby blue. Which is absolutely false. I have never been one to sport a pink shirt, let alone a pink shirt with hockey sticks crossed on it. It was very refreshing to see the Ice booth at the rink with NO pink shirts to be found.

I talked with Yvonne for a few minutes and discovered that the company is a mother-daughter run. The mother is based out of Michigan and the daughter, Charli, is in Florida. They also have an online magazine in addition to their variety of clothing items and accessories. Yvonne gave me a few bracelets so, I decided to grab a few pucks and create my photograph for today. I am happy with the way it turned out. I will admit, that I am not the best at organizing items for product photography. Maybe this one turned out nice since it involved the two things I am passionate about, hockey and photography.

Whether you are a hockey fan or not, check out Ice. They have great stuff.
