I see the above sign each time I open my gate. It always give me a chuckle because Pongo is not a dog to "beware" of. Yes, he is a big dog and has a deep bark, but he is a sweetheart.
Pongo can be overly excited sometimes, causing him to jump and wiggle. But he is not a mean dog. He likes to bark at people walking by the house and one of his favorite activities are barking at the mailman.
There are a lot of dogs in my neighborhood and they like to bark. And once one of them starts barking, they all start "talking" to each other. Naturally, Pongo chimes in.
Leaving the sign on the gate is my little dose of comedic irony. I do not bother to take it down probably because it is a constant source of laughter.
